Write a diary entry as your favorite character, theme, or object from the play. What would they be thinking during a certain scene in the play? How would they feel? What is going on inside their head/mind that is not conveyed in the play?
Today was an awful day. I always said that I didn't fit in with all of the other knives and that I was meant for something special. Doesn't the saying go something like "be careful what you wish for?" I am not a violent knife. I do not enjoy cutting things or destroying the beauty of whole objects. Oh, woe is me, today Juliet used me to take her own life! I wish that I was able to communicate with humans. Juliet should know that she should never sacrifice her own life for that of a boy, even if it is the boy she loved. Juliet was so young and so bright. She could have accomplished so much in her life! Why did she choose me, a knife! Juliet would have moved on from Romeo, eventually. She would have realized that there is life after love. I just wish I could have been the one to tell her this, instead of the agency from which took her life.
